I couldn't tell if "better looking" or "PDF" was the critical attribute. If the catalog created by calibre looks good enough, this might be helpful:

There is a freeware program that can easily convert almost any document to PDF format: http://www.primopdf.com/

Select the "free" version, not the "free trial" version. When you install it, "Primo PDF" shows up on your list of printers. When you use it to "print", it creates a PDF file.

Create a catalog in calibre with the info you want and save it in EPUB format. Then open it in the calibre Reader and press calibre's Print icon. Select "Primo PDF" as your printer and you'll get a PDF file version of your calibre EPUB catalog.

Don't know how much you've used the calibre catalog function. If you create a simple "yes/no" custom column in calibre for "read" books, you can generate a catalog of only those books that you've read.
