Picked up a used N289 from ebay, got it home and it worked fine until I installed the desktop app and connected and then it did an update to 1.9.1.1 Now it has no books and every time I restart it, it tries to update even with wireless turned off and unit not connected to pc.
This thread is 8 months old and this is still happening. I guess a percentage of people will just go buy a new one and a percentage of those people will get another kobo? Odd way to boost sales.
Anyway. I'm off to go buy a microSD to SD adapter. I did manage to open up the case without a scratch or gouge so the hard part is over.
Could I please have a copy of the disk img?
