I'm the opposite. A great looking cover image just might tempt me to buy something I know nothing about, but a "bad" cover never makes me NOT buy a book that sounds interesting to me.

If I'm totally honest, a thumbnail-sized image of the cover-art is just about all I see these days anyway. I really don't go out of my way to find a more "appreciatable"-sized version. For me, " covers" are mostly just colorful little non-descript rectangles beside the book's description. Rarely a deal-maker, but never a deal-breaker.
