You should certainly buy a T68 knowing what it is you're getting. It makes a great bookreader (for me at least); it may not be so great if you have other needs.

It's worth noting that, speaking personally, the touchscreen accuracy issues were all but eliminated by the firmware update for the Lynx (Artatech) version of the T68, but it appears that they remain present in the Onyx International version of the device.
