You may want to consider an extended warranty from squaretrade as the Amazon warranty is for 1 year and doesn't cover accidents. I usually don't buy extended warranties but did so in this case given my Kindle goes everywhere with me (and accidents happen) --and-- the Kindle's only been out a year so long term reliability is not proven. |
Speaking of warranty, if the Kindle breaks and it's past the warranty, you'll have to purchase a new Kindle. But if the Sony breaks past the warranty, you can get it fixed for a price.
