I had the same problem with the Sony PRS T1, today I rooted it with minimal-root.zip downloaded from this forum http://projects.mobileread.com/reade...lash_packages/

There is an Android app 'Cool Reader' which can display Chinese text:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...5/DSC_0065.JPG

The built in reader still cannot display Chinese. Maybe I can replace one of the built'in font with a Chinese one.

maybe, there is one for T3 too.
