Exactly that. I blame the Kobo's "use cover as screen saver" feature. I want it to show the right image, so as soon as I finish one book, I "need" to pick another to start before switching the reader off.

I've never been intimidated by big books, though; one of my all-time favorites is Stephen King's It, and one of the big reasons for that is the sheer scope and depth permitted by its length.
