Device: Kobo Mini
Wow, that is interesting! Having just bought a Kobo MINI, I've been thinking a lot about the fact that the device is so close to perfect that I can foresee no possible reason to "upgrade". A screen light would be nice, but that is what lamps are for - a technological innovation I'm just now reacquainting myself with having switched from a glowing tablet. Print quality on an e-ink screen is so good that I certainly couldn't be enticed to upgrade for a higher resolution (I can't tell there is any pixelation so any further improvement would be impossible to see, at least without a magnifying glass).

Being water-proof, however is an actual necessary fix to a glaring design flaw effecting nearly all tablets/phones/ereaders - and I've never understood why. Any touch-screen device which lacks an SD slot could have been made entirely waterproof right off the bat. There's no need for an opening in the case if things were designed properly (like an apple type magnetic connector for charging rather than this horrible micro-usb thing everything is equipped with). I see no reason why any tablet or touch-screen phone isn't completely sealed and waterproof, but it is the only glaring flaw in my current reader which might entice me to buy a replacement in order to have it fixed. Of course, after that, what possible "upgrade" path could be left?
