In version 2.1 the highlighting of the current cell has gone from lighter to darker as it was pre 2.0 - in 2.0 the current cell was lighter, I think darker is better
But
- When I hit F2 on a cell the entire line loses its highlight. This is particularly irritating if the cell under edit is in a column with a fixed set of values and I glance away from the screen, when I look back at it its quite hard to see current line and cell. Pre 2.1 when I hit F2 on a cell the line highlight stayed in place.
- If the current cell is a long text custom column then it is not highlighted, so when I tab to such a cell to hit F2 to bring up the Comments Editor I get no visual cue that I am at the right cell - this also happened in 2.0, but not in 1.48.
- If I take focus away from the list to say click on an Author Name or scroll through Comments in Book Details then the line highlight disappears and I lose context of where I came from. This did not happen in V2.0 or earlier, the line highlight remained. This happens in Calibre style and System style, in System style the line number cell of the current line does retain a faint blue 'wash'.
- Added : If I use System Style (I normally use Calibre Style) then the current cell is never highlighted darker or lighter, irrespective of column type - I only spotted this because I decided to see if System Style might fix item 3.
