@petert please ignore that. I was following a suggestion from one of the other posters. He told me the setup he uses to download (and organize) things. I configured my browser the same way hoping to get similar results.
So it is the download configuration that supports a bittorent protocol download. Not calibre or kovid. Please don't try downloading calibre from any torrent sites.
