The format thing has been a problem for lots of people ever since they launched the new web site. Their search has never worked very well (going back to when they were Shortcovers) with a Google search almost always giving better results of Kobo's own site. They've been soliciting reviews since they quit using Goodreads reviews yet they are nowhere to be found on the site. Books that are kePub only even though other places have the ePub (Kobo says this is a publisher choice, yet some publishers have called BS on that). Continuing to sell large numbers of titles that they know have problems. All kinds of odd things that have gone on for years.
If it's been that bad for as long as you say I wonder how they manage to have any customer base left. I mean people get tired of having to jump through hoops to get the books that they've paid for or filling out a form to get either store credit or reimbursement of their money. And one I bought earlier tonight has a few things wrong with it. The cover that came up in Calibre was a thumbnail with a wide area of white around it and it's a 5 book Omnibus with a poor TOC. It has

Book Title
Chapter 1
Midpoint
Info about Author
and then goes to the next book though at least the 1st one has some 14 chapters in of itself. What happened to properly formatting books? I've seen a lot better TOC's here at MR (including some I've done myself). Of course the book I'm talking about (not the same as the one above in post #24) only cost me .99 but still what happened to doing things right when a book is for sale? And the book has 2821 pages according to my view panel in Calibre so I know that they are complete novels.
