@miglanc - FYI - there is a calibre 2.0 compliant version of Doc input here ==>> [Conversion Input] Microsoft Doc Input Plugin

You could install it and 'try' it, I'm sure davidfor, who did the changes for calibre V2.0/Qt5, would appreciate another 'tester'. I tested it yesterday, looks good to me

You may need to reconfigure the location of wordconv.exe in Preferences->Conversion Input->DOC Input.
