Is there likely to be a significant difference in readability between the Aura HD and the H2O?
There are a few links here with Kindle examples: http://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comme...hite_2_and_an/
From what I can make out there will be a minimal increase in contrast but nothing else particularly significant?

The specs page for the H2O ( http://www.kobo.com/koboaurah2o#techspecs ) also intriguingly mentions " multi-touchscreen" - is that at all significant?
The difference in resolution is less than 1%. I don't think anyone will really notice in a double blind test.
