I was planning on getting the 2nd edition of Eunoia (I've owned the 1st for years) as a paperback, as according to the publisher's website, they offer a free e-book download anyway once you show the receipt for a matching print-purchase made anywhere, which is something I like to encourage*.

But you've just made me look up the price at Chapters, and I noticed they're having a bonus 10% off online physical book purchases through Thursday with a coupon code and there's a bunch of print-only stuff I've had sitting on my wishlist for months which I've been waiting for a promo of this sort to get.

So, thank you very much for this!

Uhh, steampunk content: the combined steampunk and story tags over at Tor.com bring up a number of their free online read shorts.

Also, Fullmetal Alchemist, which pops up in the Tor.com tag results, is an excellent manga adapted to anime series and can apparently have the first few episodes watched for free online in the States at the distributor's website in both its incarnations: original flavour Fullmetal Alchemist which had to make up its own ending and some of the character backstory since the manga hadn't been completed yet, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, re-adapted from the fully completed manga.

Choose the Watch tab, then filter by Access to Free. Both are good, though the 2nd is better-produced, having been assembled from a more complete story and having a bigger budget due to the popularity of the 1st series.

* For some reason a number of Canadian publishing houses do this: Coach, ECW, probably more. I like this and hope it becomes a trend.
