I know that some of you wizards will be able to help me. I am new to the forums so treat me like the newb that I am.

When I use calibre to convert a PDF book to .mobi, the process adds many blank pages. I open the mobi version in my Fire and the cover is there. After the cover I get 8 blank pages to the toc. after the toc I get 8 - 10 blank pages to chapter one, etc, etc.

If I don't convert the PDF the type is too small for my old eyes to read.
