Linux - calibre 2.0 file dialog hang and workaround

After installing calibre 2.0 I couldn't save to disk. When I clicked the button calibre opened a file dialog and hanged. It was possible to terminate the processes from the system monitor.

I fixed it by deleting my .config/calibre folder and reconfiguring calibre. After that everything seems to work fine.

I had a backup of the old .config/calibre folder and restored it to try to repeat the error so I could provide some more information. But then everything suddenly worked as it should. No hang when the file dialog opened.

I am a little confused, but calibre now seems to work as it should. I just thought I should mention it if someone have a similar experience...

(Ubuntu 14.04, 64 bit)
