The pinprick light spots in the first shipments of Aura HDs were caused by minute dust particles getting under the glass, they irritated a lot of people and resulted in some returns. Kobo fixed it this time and I think they deserve credit.

On the other hand, how can they advertise the improvement? In a positive way, I mean.

I imagine that if it can keep the dust out it can keep out moisture so why not toot their horn?

I would buy one provided it keeps the big screen, they make it brighter, make it capacitive touch (well spotted vandafc), keep the memory footprint of the HD, keep the SD slot and maybe put in a bit faster CPU with a bit lighter weight. The price of the HD was about right but I figure to pay what a product costs to make as long as it is worth it to me.

Oh, and they should let me buy it from the Kobo web site rather having to wait for one of the local indie bookstores to decide to sell them. (I don't understand what's going on there.)
