It doesn't sound like it applies to you on this bundle (you had other reasons to spend the $10), but as long as you pay better than the average
at the time of your purchase, you'll still get all the books in the better than average tier. I've gotten in early on some of the game bundles and got the entire better than average bunch for $2-$3 less than the final average.
In my experience, the average never goes down after the first couple of hours, it just keeps edging up, for both games and books, so buying early can save you money.
On another note, here's some additional info from the Sci-Fi & Fantasy thread about the top tier. The novella is
not, as the bundle claims, exclusive to this bundle. It's included in the e-book and paperback of book ten of the series. (The novella takes place between books ten and eleven) It's also available to read on
Wattpad. [Thanks to AnemicOak and tilia for posting this info in the other thread.] This really seems like a huge blunder by Humble Bundle.
