Hi there,

Glad to join the community.
I needed a Portuguese dictionary and I found THE dictionary in StarDict format:

It works on my PC, BUT not on my boox i62. It crashes with the first word.
I contacted the author, who kindly sent me two different versions. One of them does not crash, but the characters are not recognized by the ebook. Not just a few accents, but more than 90% of them.
It feels as if it is just a matter of ENCODING IT properly.

I wonder if there is someone around who could help by:
- trying the dictionary in his/her ebook,
- sharing a similar experience,
- CONVERTING THE FILE to a suitable format or encoding or whatever,
- suggesting an alternative (Portuguese dictionary in Portuguese, not Portuguese-English).

I have tried myself converting from other formats to Stardict, converting these dictionaries back and forth, trying to change the encoding... but nothing worked.
