Unless I misread the code log, what is happening is that the css is being added to each file in the epub to turn hyphenation on and setting the language correctly.
I can think of several reasons for the hyphenation not working:
- The CSS is not being inserted correctly, or is incorrect.
- Other CSS appears in the book that sets hyphenation to different values.
- The kepub reader is not handling the hyphenation or options as expected.
I just did a test and hit the second one. I randomly selected a book from my test library and sent it as a kepub. I'm pretty sure this is the only book with hyphenation in the CSS.
But, I suspect the last possibility. You are using firmware 3.5.0. Has this worked OK with earlier firmware? Kobo have worked on hyphenation with different firmware. It might be that it is broken for Spanish but OK for other languages.
Any chance of seeing a problem book? And something to indicate where the problems are? The latter is to give me an idea of what words have been broken incorrectly. Maybe a screenshot that shows a few with an idea of what should have been done.
