There's no room on MR for anti cat bigotry, IMHO. If a cat scratches you and leave ugly painful welts, don't blame the cat. Blame evolution for leaving you pelt less and thin skinned!
Fun fact about cats: they lost their receptor for sweet, so when your kitty appears to be greatly enjoying your ice cream, she's only in it for the fat. You're training her to eat you when you're dead, basically.
