A very late checking in:
We were without power yesterday after a storm moved through a transformer that made the power go off and on finally bit the dust so we had to wait for them to fix that. I had to go find a book to read on my tablet no way I was going to Cat & Bones in a blackout!
I am the part where they are in graveyard calling up the dead. I'm too chicken to read it in the dark let alone the very dark and quit. So I read some more of These Old Shades. I need to go back and familiarize myself with who is who again. During the blackout Maisy ate something she shouldn't have and has been sick for the first time in her 12 years so I've been following her around cleaning her litterbox and her all morning. No Sleep. I was told no food for 12 to 24 hours. We go to 7 hours before I had to let her have just a little as she was just so hungry and couldn't sit or lay down for 7 hours and by then I was a zombie. She held that pretty well so two hours later gave her a little more and settled down. I woke up to her on the counter eating what was left over from Sweetpea's meal. Hubby's fault!
So after that waited a couple more hours and so far so good. I just gave her a little more and she is sleeping and acting her happy self again.
I just got a call my mom is being rushed to the hospital via ambulance. She had a bad fall and hit her head. My sister called but the connection was so bad all I could make out was blood, Cumadin levels, very bad fall in a public place and that she was so scared for mom and something might be broken.
Oh I did buy one book last week. 99 cents one that was mention here.
