I assume youve also tried using a different usb cable. [ I managed to bend the connector on one of my cables & while it continued to work with other devices, it then refused to charge my Kobo arc tablet, so it is just possible that your device is not willing to play nice with one particular cable]
. IF you've tried 2 chargers & 2 cables then your only hope would to be to somehow remove /swap out the battery. if you could get a charged battery into the device then maybe the firmware upgrade would complete & then maybe the charging function would resume.
I'm not sure if I would want to go to all that hassle though - I'd probably dump it on ebay as "not working/for parts" & get somethign new
