LOTTO: BLOOD MONEY
by Ric K. Hill

Suspense/Thriller

A Gamble She Can’t Afford to Win!

Len Thompson leads a reckless life. Conservative college student Kate Miller prefers structure and tranquility, yet she finds the volatile bad boy intriguing. When the two unlikely former friends reunite during a chance encounter at the convenience store, he buys a lottery ticket for her twenty-first birthday. After she wins the multimillion-dollar jackpot, Kate's sweet dream of fortune turns into a nightmare.

Obsessed with the illusion that he deserves a share of her newfound wealth, master manipulator Len lures the trusting young woman into his tenacious web of deceit. Unsuccessful in initial attempts to convince her of his entitlement, he devises a new scheme. When Len and his brother Chris bungle the plan, the consequences are devastating for Kate and her family. The conflict escalates at the edge of a secluded cliff, resulting in a no-win outcome for both predator and prey.

5-star Amazon.com Review:

An excellent book for an enjoyable read:

I loved the premise of this work: someone buying a lottery ticket for you then wanting a share of the millions after you win.

The author does a great job developing this premise, with powerful and lively characters. Descriptions are woven seamlessly into the storyline, something that most authors miss. The dialogues ring true and the storyline is very real and possible.
