I download news, and email the files automatically to my Kindle. The Kindle treats them as periodicals. If each days' edition of a particular news source has the same name, then the Kindle files older editions in a special folder called "Periodicals: Back Issues". (Forgive me if you know all of this, but this may be helpful to others.)

It appears that most (maybe all?) built-in recipes include some form of the date in their title, meaning that the Kindle will treat each edition of a particular news source as unique, therefore never triggering any filing into the "Back Issues" folder. i.e New York Times - Aug 15, 2014; New York Times - Aug 14, 2014; etc.

If, however, I add the "timefmt = ''" statement to the recipes, the titles of those recipes will not include the date, and the proper filing on the Kindle will occur. i.e. New York Times.

It would be really cool if there was a way to change this globally, such as to have a checkbox asking "Include the date in the title? <yes,no>?"
