The Folder device is the only on I know that does not auto detect and mount. It has caused issues in times past, if deleted without the 'eject' operation haveing been performed prior to exiting Calibre.

Normal devices auto-detect and mount (unless excluded in preferences).

If calibre can't find a Library, it pops a notice allowing you to specify its new location so it can attach or it creates a NEW default on
