That appeared to work, at first. However, everything under "Recent" and "Title" seems to vanish again after a bit of use. I've run the command with the &&s twice, with the same problem happening both times.
Also, I can't figure out how to turn the shell access off, so I can't see my Kindle as a USB device or in Calibre anymore.
