Only reason I can think of would be if B&N is subsidizing on price some so it's cheaper than a regular Tab 4 you'd get at Target, Best Buy, etc. I don't know it they are or have some other incentives to buy their version or not.


I still think it's strange they picked they're "next gen" device as one with a lower ppi (same resolution as my two year old Nexus 7 2012) screen than the current device . More of a sideways move for a user than an "upgrade".
