I got an email from Kobo just after midnight, headed
Preorder Unsuccessful. The body says that my cc info couldn't be processed, and invites me to reorder. The helpful link to the book page shows I can own it for about $21. Even perkopolis won't take the sting out of that.
Since I've been successfully purchasing all along with the self-same cc info and my earlier preorders were processed, I can only assume that the system caught up with the error. I'll be interested to see if anyone's preorder was successful.
As I said, I can't be fussed. Especially since one of my penny preorders was a wishlist book and processed without incident.
