If the line spacing slider is having an effect, it suggest that some of your epubs do not specify a fixed line height. To check this using Calibre, select edit for an epub and then enable Live CSS view. Select a tag and that panel will show the styles affecting the tag and the cumulative effect.

You might also want to check the line patch in the Patching Firmware thread in the Kobo Developer's Corner https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=238175 for information on changing the line spacings used by the slider.
