Especially annoying if you try to borrow one from the Kindle that you already own, it will fail and say something "you have reached the limit for the licence." At least it checks something so you don't KU borrow a book you previously bought and return it and lose it. It should at least say that you already bought it and if you want to d/l it from the cloud instead. Oh well, growing pains. KU is still an infant, not even a toddler.
