Thanks for the ideas everyone.

Games will mostly just be simple games like candy crush and crap that the missus likes to play. The rest of the apps I have no real idea about as I've never used many. Guess I will have to have a further chat with the missus and see what exactly she wants.

I totally agree about the camera aspect. I think I will just forget the camera aspect and take care of uploading pics from our camera myself.

Any brands that have particularly good or bad reputations? Besides google with the nexus.(which I will definitely take a look at)
