And now for more weird behavior. Yesterday I had to set up the Glo again from scratch by logging out and back into the Kobo account. Since then, I never get the prompt that I have to connect to wi-fi to do a search from the home screen. Even if wi-fi is off, it brings up the keyboard and I'm able to select Books or Library from the search box. I synced it again so the Recommended tile came back, and even with that tile still present, I can bring up search without being connected to wi-fi and not being nagged that I must enable it. It still says firmware 3.5.0, so that didn't change.

But for right now anyway, search seems to be working perfectly with and without wi-fi enabled, with and without the Recommended tile on the home screen as well.

Just odd, when yesterday I couldn't even cancel the prompt to enable wi-fi if I tapped on search.
