Well, assuming your PRS 950s still works, why not wait? I can't predict te future if or when new ereaders will arrive. But keep in mind: the Aura HD is an old device (release date: April 25, 2013).
Except its ultra-high dpi screen all other hardware components are common and used in many other ereaders. It uses a Pearl screen (without Regal technology; which is present in the Aura 6" model, btw) and no Carta screen (Amazon PaperWhite 2).
My guess is that new readers will use Carta screens (like the recently released Tolino Vision in Germany; build by and based on a reference design by Netronix)
