Thanks Billi and Bookpossum. I cycle about 5 hours a day : shaky roads, shaky wifi, weather is about O.K (in Sietow an der Müritzsee) and the beer is good.
I have no favorite, am happy with whatever wins, but can recommend the audiobook of the Song of Roland ( free audio with some medieval music, lots of weapon noise and in the whole it transports one to that particular age)

btw: excuse grammar and other as editing on my iphone is a bit of a pain....
