That is what it should show you when it is connected. If you open Windows Explorer you should see a new drive letter named "KOBOeReader", if you also have an external uSD card plugged into your Kobo device, you should have an additional drive letter, for that.

If you click on the icon of a USB plug with a check mark, you should see "eReader 3.3.0" then a line below that with the drive letter and "KOBOeReader". Normally you will want to eject the entire eReader.
