This book is subtitled: Being Notes Introductory to the Study of Theology. It is attempt by the author to synthesize his own views on theology.Though written in 1895, some have characterized his views as postmodern.
From the work: "My object, then, is to recommend a particular way of looking at the World - problems, which, whether we like it or not, we are compelled to face. I wish, if I can, to lead the reader up to a point of view whence the small fragments of the Infinite Whole, of which we are able to obtain a glimpse, may appear to us in their true relative proportions."
If the author name seems familiar, it is because Arthur Balfour was a British Prime Minister from 1902-1905.
Because this work was written in 1895 it is out of copyright in the US, and since he died in 1930, it should be out of copyright nearly everywhere else too.
