You can turn the Kindle's light off too, with the
Front Light Master extension. (Which it seems
you inspired with a previous version
.)
Also, I don't get what the problem is -- isn't the KPW light supposed to go sown so low that it cannot be discerned as light, so the only real reason to disable it is for battery purposes?
