At Kobo I only get useful suggestions very rarely. Mostly they suggest books I already bought (sometimes even the day before), or books I don't want because the genre classification is messed up. (For example, Vampire Romance is NOT Fantasy. Understand that and put that stuff under a Romance subgenre, or give it its own genre.)
