Some of the LCD devices are larger than you might think. Here are a couple.

Jetbook - $310
eBookwise - $140

For e-ink screens take a look at the e-ink reader matrix. The least expensive e-ink machine, I believe is the Sony 505 at around $300. For another $60 you could have a Kindle.
