I appreciate that argument and I agree in general, but practically, Prime is reliably delived to the vast majority of people. If an individual knows that they have unreliable delivery in their area, that person should not subscribe to Prime for the shipping benefit. To do so is no different that individual constantly choosing the two-day shipping upcharge from any online store and complaining to the store. If the store guaranteed it, they'll compensate you, but why keep doing it?
