It means they are receiving the updates from the software companies, and are finally getting the power management working, although not at 100%.
Like i have said before, one of the big hold ups was the delay from software companies.

I'm planning on reading only (PDF or .txt/htm, I don't care, I can convert the books i'd like to take along) and not using the stylus, WiFi or anything...so maybe I have achance of actually reading riverworld to the end without recharging...?

If i understood correctly it's the time the device should last reading content, not just lying around doing nothing.

Also i was told the extra power needed to read from CF/SD should
not be very noticeable.
