I can't agree to something I don't know. I do know that some people buy Apple products because they're Apple products. I know because I know them personally. If you ask them about what specs or features they love about their Apple products they'll give you blank stares because they really don't know or care. How many of these consumers make up Apple consumers, I don't know. I don't know if they're an insignificant minority or not. This doesn't take away from people who buy Apple products because they truly know that it meets their particular needs. To be honest, I think most people who buy gadgets, whether Android or Apple buy them for reasons other than specs or what they need. I don't think most people do a lot of research then make their purchases. Of course, I can't say this for certain since I'm basing this on what I've encountered in my life. Most people I encounter either buy for cost ("I wanted something that didn't cost a lot of money") or brand prestige ("I bough this iPhone/Samsung Galaxy S__ because it's so cool/good").
I don't think people on this board do that but I really don't think people on this board represent typical consumers. Additionally, even if you buy the "cool" product, it's not a big deal and it's not wrong. A cool iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S__ will work fine and do just about everything those consumers need their gadgets to do. So in the end, everyone wins right? It's all good.
