My dad uses the recipe holder we have in the kitchen for propping his tablet up.
I just fold my iPad's Clamcase back and stand it up that way. I remember seeing someone using a business card holder for the Kindle Fire when it first came out too.
Something with a strong base would probably work in bed. That could get expensive though.
