Try the ultimate collection. It works for me on Windows 8.1 which many said they couldn't get to work. It's one big installation so you don't have to deal with compatibility issues when you install each one. I'm also running mine in Vista SP2 compatibility. There's also site that has graphic card fixes for the game that fixed my problem with smooth edges and flickering. If anyone needs help on this just PM me. I don't want to take the thread further off topic.
