Yep, the ghosting is an issue.
And if you set the refesh rate of the screen to any value higher than 1.
- first page after a full refresh the characters are crisp and clear
On next page(s):
- the characters are rendered slighty bolder than on the first page and look less sharp.
- on top af that certain characters (and part of the screen) are rendered even bolder giving it a bolder look, which I would describe as half bold.
- contain minor ghosting/artifacts of previous pages. I'm not sure what the cause is here, but my guess is that these are left overs of the used antialiasing routines. The character is ereased (the black part) but the gray area of the character of the anti-aliasing routine is not fully removed.
The result is less crispy, clear, and sharp characters. The edges of the characters look slightly blurred.
I notice the above on my Kobo Touch and Glo. However these issues may be less prominent on the Aura HD, and Aura 6" as the use updated Pearl screens.
