At the end of the day ios works seemlessly for me. I have the same apps on my iPhone, my air and my mini. It's not worth my time to try to save money now by starting again with Android unless it's for my phone which is used far less than the iPads. I'd have to work out what's apps I need to replace the ios only ones. I write reviews in Pages which easily export to dropbox and to my pc in word.

From my experience with Android I needed three steps with Android for every one on iOS, it was messy and uncoordinated. And I hated the file system. Yes I'd get an android phone as all I'd want that for that apart from phone and texts is music and audiobooks, plus Facebook, but for a tablet which I use as a laptop replacement during the week I wouldn't use anything but an ipad. It's worth every penny.
