I have read through the warnings on pdf format but I'm not doing a conversion so I don't believe this topic is out of bounds.

My Calibre library stores a large number of pdf files and I would like to be able to save them out to a single directory with the metadata updated in the pdf file. In other words the Acrobat author, title, keywords fields updated from the Calibre tags.

I have the current version of Calibre and "update metadata in saved copies" is enabled under saving books to disk.

Calibre seems to work properly - in other words write update the Acrobat output file(s) - the first time I do the operation after booting the program but not with subsequent writes.

Anyone have information or guidance on this?
