Two suggestions for improvement of the editor (or help if those features are already present):

Changing background color in image viewer/editor. I ask for it because in a book I'm working, the images are grey watermarks with transparent background, so you can imagine how bad they currently look. If the user had control over the Calibre background color (currently a quite dark grey), it would be great. (If it were through a button in the editor toolbar it would be perfect, as in cases like this one you might need changing it quite frequently, even per image).
Zooming capabilities in the image viewer/editor.
