Pad Siew and Som Tam

Then you'd want to keep far away from Pad Siew and Som Tam. Both use the Thai 'Prik' peppers... On the Scoville Heat Unit scale (which varies greatly from site to site ) the Jalapeno pepper rates 2,500-8,000 units, while the Thai Prik peppers runs 50,000-100,000 units. I can only handle 3-5 peppers in my Som Tam, but my Thai friends throw them in by handfuls!
